Statistics are coming soon
Statistics in this business are not what you think. The reason for that is the police do not report the kind of things that are reported on this web site. The
police do not want you to know the sad truth about the state of affairs when it comes to police corruption.
There are other watchdog web sites who report statistics but I would suggest to you that these figures are at best a gross approximation and to be fair the
data reported here is of that nature also. The difference is that I know it but they don't seem to.
In order to provide accurate statistics on any subject there has to be a large sampling of data across a wide range. None of us have that - we don't have it because
we do not have all the data available. No one can possibly capture all the occurrences of corruption, document then catalog for statistical purposes. At this time
there is not an organization with the means to do that.
What we can do is provide some statistical data based on the data available to us. That is what I will try to do but I need more data first.
Beginning sometime in the late fall or early winter of 2011 I will start to develop charts to graphically represent the data in the LawReport database.
